Put The Blame On You

Written by Sopuruchukwu Egbodo @SopuruEgbodo

Most times than not folks make statements like,

“If not for that my stingy uncle that refused to pay my school fees, I would have been a graduate” or

The truth is, often times we choose to blame everybody but ourselves about most failures of ours. We allow the feelings of our expectations of other people to overwhelm us, not minding the fact that apart from God the creator who owns us, we are custodians of our lives and would be held accountable for things done with our lives.

With an attitude of putting “Our” blames on others, we are unconsciously passing on our responsibilities to others while we make ourselves on-lookers in our own game.

Even though God, the Nigerian culture and common sense supports helping others, it should also be noted that a clause of freewill is attached to altruism, otherwise,

“God will NOT be a lover of CHEERFUL givers.”

The right attitude is to stand up and be at the fore front of discovering and working towards fulfilling your God given purpose on earth. You are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for making your dreams come through. The so-called destiny helpers will at a point show up and play their roles, but whether they play their roles or choose not to, your failure or success is all dependent on you. Blaming others for your failures is a deed for the irresponsible. Taking charge of your life is the first step towards achieving success in any area of ones life. Till you learn to put the blame for your failures on yourself, you’ll never make a head way in life.

What do you want to be or do? Take charge, think, plan and execute.
